Three shots with the gate at my back moving closer to the first intersection.
A couple of shots of what used to be AP Alley.
Standing at the intersection looking up Main St (also called Yellow Brick Road, Green Pole, or White Pole Road at various times depending on the color of the poles holding up the sidewalk cover.) The right hand corner you see in the photo where the flag poles are, used to have a dark green building that contained a Dental Clinic. I think they call this Urban Renewal.
This is called American Plaza. It takes up the north-west corner of the first intersection out the gate. Main street goes up the left side of the photo. Turn right here and go to the gate.
A little further up the street, almost to the crest of the hill. Just beyond the brick building on the left is where the city ran out of money (I guess) and the old buildings with the covered sidewalk are still around.
This shot is looking back down the street towards the gate's intersection.
