Kabushima is a small hilly island that is just a few yards from the mainland and is just south of the Hachinohe Fishing Port. There is a small but scenic temple at the top of the hill and it has many, many seagulls around it.

There is a small beach adjacent to the island. Many Japanese carry umbrellas when they go because of so many birds dropping things.
It is on the way to Taneshima Beach. The photos on this page are taken from the south end of the area. To get to the Temple, you would enter from the north end of the area.
