GETTING AROUND JAPAN

JAPAN RAILWAYS SYSTEMS JR East services the main island of Honshu from the Tokyo area northward. This is the area most traveled by folks in Misawa. Take the Shinkansen (Bullet train) to Tokyo and then find your way around the Tokyo area. The Aoimori Line services Misawa and connects with the JR East Shinkansen in Hachinohe.
